Born and raised in Saint Louis, MO, Catherine Taeger Arnsperger, 34, graduated from Miami University in 1997 with a Management Information Systems and economics degree and aimed high.  She courted “Big Six” consulting firms and landed a position with PriceWaterhouseCoopers.  She quickly moved up the ranks, traveling both nationally and internationally and living a life most recent college grads envy.

After five years as a management consultant, Arnsperger began to crave a new challenge.  About the same time, a single young man caught her eye.  After a storybook courtship, she married Dan Arnsperger and headed to Northwest Arkansas, both pursuing new careers.  While her husband, now a partner with The Harvest Group, worked with P&G on the Walmart team, Arnsperger held a position at Tyson Foods.  A business process change project leader with Tyson for about three years, Arnsperger sensed another challenge was about to take place in her life.  Little did she know this would be life changing.

On January 25, 2005 the Arnspergers sadly welcomed and said goodbye to Abigail Grace Arnsperger.  This full-term, beautiful baby girl who died at birth was a blessing from God.  Though Arnsperger and her husband experienced extreme heartache, they recount that this was a turning point in their lives.  After several months of soul-searching, Arnsperger resigned her position with Tyson Foods and became the Executive Director of Loving Choices Pregnancy Centers of NWA.  She was ready to make a difference in the lives of girls, women and their unborn babies.

Once at Loving Choices, Arnsperger outlined and quickly achieved three goals: improving brand name and community awareness, improving internal business processes, and adding an additional location in Fayetteville.

Additionally, under Arnsperger’s leadership, Loving Choices has grown its volunteer base, increased its donations by 240%, and increased the Board of Directors’ involvement.   June 2009 marked the commencement of the brand new STD testing program, a cutting edge endeavor for a pregnancy center.

Now in her fifth year as Executive Director, Arnsperger is raising funds to expand Loving Choices’ brand new STD testing program to include more tests and treatments and she’s also looking to continue to grow partnerships in the community with schools, hospitals, churches and other nonprofit organizations.

She states, “It took a tragedy in my life to find my life’s work.  Little did I know that the experiences I had been given over the past 15 years would prove to be the tools by which I work on that which God has set before me.  I have never been more fulfilled and more joyful than now when I have seen the beauty that has come from personal loss and tragedy, the beauty that only God can create.”
