President and CEO, J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc.

Shelley Simpson is the President and Chief Executive Officer for J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. With over 31 years of experience at the company, her career reflects the company’s continued progression as an innovative leader in the transportation and logistics industry. She began her career as an hourly customer service representative and has since held leadership roles across multiple business segments.

She has served as Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Commercial Officer, leading initiatives in sales, marketing, customer experience, and the development of J.B. Hunt 360°, the company’s freight-matching technology platform. In 2020, she also began overseeing People and Human Resources, further establishing her people-first leadership style. Shelley was named President in 2022 and CEO in 2024.

Her leadership has earned numerous honors, including the 2024 AWESOME Legendary Leadership Award and recognition from Economics Arkansas, Women in Trucking, and the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas. Outside of J.B. Hunt, Shelley is a board member for the Dean’s Executive Advisory Board for the University of Arkansas’ Sam M. Walton College of Business and the University of Arkansas Razorback Foundation.

A native of Russellville, Arkansas, Shelley holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Arkansas. She serves on advisory boards for the Sam M. Walton College of Business and the Razorback Foundation. She lives in Rogers, Arkansas, with her husband David, and they have three children.
